So, it turns out I had grasped the wrong end of the stick. I got so caught up into not wanted to do the wrong thing, that in the end, I did the wrong thing. I should listen to my instinct more often! Never mind though, we all learn from our mistakes.
In this weeks lesson, we had our project brief delivered. It sounds quite interesting to be honest. I was worried that it would all be completely technical (being a Creative Digital Media module and i know I'm not the best when it comes to technology, especially in the form of an Apple Mac.) Turns out that it won't be all that technical, so came a sigh of relief!
Our project brief is to re-brand a product that has seen a significant decline in sales since it's first release and present our concepts as part of a design pitch. We were given a range of products, from alcohol to aftershave to Spam. We were sold on the latter, and so our learning group are re-branding good old Spam! I've got a few ideas on what concept to go for, but I am not going to share those just yet!
When doing a bit of contextual research into our chosen product, I came across this... It's so cheesy, it's off the scale.
Queue cheesy Spam Advert...
Hopefully, we'll be able to create something much more appealing and modern. We shall see!
